This Is Obscene

If you can watch this end-to-end without swearing out loud, you're a better man than I.

Update: This one is also ridiculous.

Dude, you can't send me a link to an awesome video via email then use it as your blog post as well. I'm all like "Sweet, Colin wrote something new, I will go read it". No!

You are not my favorite nerd today.

God. Damn.

Colin R 4/20/2009 8:54 AM

Sorry Thom. I watched it once and was like, "wow, Thom needs to see this."

Then I watched it again and realized the world needs to see this.

No swearing, rather gaping and "Oh my God-ing."

mark webb was good, but g-damn that other dude landed a mctwist of an effen tree. game-set-match.

Colin R 4/21/2009 12:22 AM

Yeah, but I've seen the mctwist (aka "flare") done in the halfpipe before. Hell, Mark Webb did one with a tailwhip in that video.

The Macaskill's 360 down the big flight of stairs is actually where I said "holy shit."

Wow, the urban trials scene has come a long ways in the last 5 years or so. Like everything I suppose. Incredible.

G-ride 4/21/2009 2:16 PM

see, this is one area where the damn euros got it right. They stuck with trials riding. Back in the day, when Colin was still in daycare, all the MTB races had stock trials and pro trials and people had something to do while the boring, big loop epic XC races were going on. And most racers did the stock trials competition as well. Back when MTB racers were guys who knew how to ride bikes, not freaking roadies on 1.8" semi slicks riding around on dirt roads...

I always find real street action like the Macaskill stuff to be way more impressive than stuff done in parks.

I was hanging in there up through the backflip off the tree... My buddy Dan does this stuff and I'm pretty confident even he would be throwing out a goddam or two...
